Well as you all know last night (according to middleeuropeian time) the Oscars went to the hands of those who deserve it (or not?), it's up to critics and audience to judge.
My favorite was the "Slumdog Millionaire" which also took the most of little statues.
I can't wait to go to see it in the cinema;)
The award for the best leading role (female) went to Kate Winslet (The Reader) where she plays a German woman in her thirties whose teenage lover is unaware of the dark secret in her past.
The best male performance is Sean Penn's role of Harvey Milk, the camera store owner whose decision to campaign for a place on San Francisco's Board of Supervisors becomes a landmark event within the gay rights movement, in the same named film "Milk".
"Slumdog Millionaire" got the Oscar for best picture, directing, music, cinematography and screenplay.
As you've all heard (or not) the prize for the best actor in a supporting role went to Heath Ledger,(who tragically passed in his 28), as you all know for his role in Batman The Dark Knight, where he portrays the Joker, a psychopathic criminal mastermind who will stop at nothing in his scheme to outwit and humiliate Batman.
The romantic comedy "Vicky Christina Barcelona" also got Oscar, and that went to Penelope Cruz who portraied the fiery Maria Elena, a divorced woman still locked in a complex relationship with her ex-husband.
Well,I reviewed at some basics, and I hope everyone got what they deserve,
I didn't watch the ceremony cause it was too late (to our timetables),but I read and heard all about it.
I hope some of you have watched it and had a nice evening =)
xx
